There and back again

North Hessary Tor, Dartmoor, Devon.

I took this picture from the small car park on the B3357, under Little Staple Tor, looking across to the snow capped North Hessary Tor which is 547m above sea level. The mast  on its summit carries TV and Radio programs and is 197m tall

The small farm you can see just under the snow line is called Yellow Mead Farm and it stands on a tramway track that runs from Foggintor Quarry to the right of the frame.  The pointed Tor to the the far right is Kings Tor.

The small ponies in the foreground are a lot smaller that the native Dartmoor ponies and are the result of cross breeding with Shetland ponies.
It may look better in "Large"
