Rooftop Barbecue

We spent a very nice afternoon at a barbecue on the roof terrace of one of the teachers in school. Peter's a young Scottish lad from Troon (just along the coast from where Bb's mum lives) and this is the view from his roof terrace. The tower you see is Cairo Tower and Tahrir Square is immediately behind the white building in the centre of the frame. It's always fun to be in a studenty type flat again and this was a really nice one, walkable to the school, good space and of course the terrace is the icing on the cake. There were a few British Council teachers there, but mainly a circle of his friends not connected to work. We met two young American girls who are doing work with the Anglican Church here, giving immigrants legal aid help and attempting to resettle them in other countries. Not an easy job, but an admirable one.
