Rambling daily

Thoughts of new season

Bitterly cold today but a beautiful day nonetheless. I can get back to work Thursday next and thoughts are turning to the coming boating season and planned sailing trips. Too early to see the priest to get passport photos signed we popped to check that alls well with the mooring (the two white buoys ahead in the river) and that the tender was still safely stowed. I was reminded of how beautiful the mooring on the Avon is with Stanpit marsh and all its birdlife to the left and Hengistbury Head across the way. At high tide we have a great distant view of the Isle of Wight and beach huts on Mudeford spit. It's so peaceful to stay on the boat even though our house is barely 500 yards away as crow flies!
