lost...

...over the mountains

is this lone goose

as i stood - on the shoreline - watching while hundreds - of geese flew in - to the lake - landing into the water - this one, for some - reason veered off - the course with the others - flying off on his own - away over the mountains - perhaps going to - take up with another - lost one - i couldn't see - a planned rendezvous - i would be unaware of -  maybe he simply - desired some alone  time -  one can never know - i can only hope - wherever he ends up - it will be for him...
