my first entry. a snapshot taken this morning of the continuing demolition of a Louis Sullivan-designed house in my neighborhood. the Harvey House suffered a fire last october making it the third Adler/Sullivan structure destroyed by fire in Chicago in the last 2 years. The house was empty, undergoing renovation at the time of the blaze and no one was injured in the fire, but its destruction still represents something of a loss to the community.
