View from the Appenine Foothills to Carrara, Italy

Italy has been hit by blizzards in the centre of the country. I took this photo on the climb up to the pass, oblivious of what was about to happen. It took 6 hours to do 100 miles to Bologna. I was very nearly stuck in the dark at the top of the pass and had to turn back! How tranquil this view seems when the other side of the mountain was so bad - see the photo from yesterday!
