Robert

This is Robert, the Big Issue vendor who spent all day yesterday supporting and encouraging me and the other guest vendors. I was very disappointed to have only sold two copies of the Big Issue during my one hour guest stint, but Robert told me that was normal. He spends 5 hours a day at his pitch by the main entrance of Central Station, Glasgow, and he sells around 15 newspapers. As he buys them for £1.25 and sells them for £2.50, he's making less than £20/day, and having tried his job myself yesterday, I can tell you its not easy. He's dignified, gentle, and hard working and deserves your support, so if you see him, but a paper from him.
