Testing the water

This little duck looks like it was dipping a toe in and finding it too cold!
It was -2 and there are icicles hanging off the grass so I don´t blame him. 
Many ducks congregate in the winter on this stretch of river by one of the local supermarkets. The lakes are frozen over and there was a constant stream of people coming to watch the ducks and throw them bread.
