Jeff Koons with Sacré-Cœur

We visited the Pompidou Centre today, for a retrospective exhibition of Jeff Koons. It was on the top floor (the 6th) of the museum, with a beautiful view of Montmartre and the Cathedral of the Sacré-Cœur, visible from many points in the exhibition, as here. I have to confess that I did not note the name of the piece in the left foreground, and the exhibition as a whole left me cold.

We were together with my friend Guenter from Frankfurt, as well as Peter and Karen from Michigan, long-time friends of Guenter, whom we first met three years ago. They regularly ski in St. Moritz, and they had all just come from there.
