Epic

It started out good, fast became classic, but by the end of the day we all agreed it was epic.

Sgiath Chuil and Meall Glas near Crianlarich.

Not much snow cover on the lower slopes, but plenty higher up. The 'fifty words for snow' discussion came up and we found that we could identify many types of snow using culinary descriptions.
Sugar,
Icing sugar,
Sorbet,
Meringue.
Daiquiri.

We all had our ice axes and practised step kicking and step cutting. Ice ax arrests (Ok so mine turned into the longest bum-slide yet, but it was still winter skills).

Once on top the views were stupendous. Stob Bidean being the hill on the other side of the road.

Even the sun-set was amazing.

This is Chris and Davey on the gully up to Sgiath Chuil.

A very memorable day.
