We've had far fewer goldfinches in the garden this year, although I quite often come across a flock when I'm out walking, so it may be that they're not needing to top up at the bird feeders too much.  So it was nice to have one today, one more than the weekend of the Big Garden Birdwatch a couple of weeks ago.
