Shedman

By Shedman

To the fisherman's glove lost on the shingle

He likes his hunting gloves
She likes to set a trap
It’s a manual tool he loves
She buy gifts to wrap.

She fancies lobster pots
He's into bows and arrows
She weaves a tangled web
He likes to leave a rose.

She's relishes net and noose
His weapon is a gun
She lets it all hang loose
He likes to get things done.

He swings a giant club
She's the high spot in her own
He’s goes down the pub
and likes to drink alone.

She enjoys cake on a stand
he will graze a shelf
She loves things made by hand
He wants to do it himself.

If ever they live together
he who hunts and she who traps
they’ll need to find out whether
they both use the same set of maps.

if not she’ll have to show him
how to lie in wait for a prey
And he’ll need to work out in the gym
to teach her the hunter’s way.
