Road to the Breck

Dreich and breezy seem to be the usual suspects nowadays.  And so it proved in my walk up to the Gyre Plantings.  Very damp, guttery /slippy and soaked.  I have flushed woodcock previously but nothing moving today.  However there was a female sparrowhawk yesterday, first I’ve seen for four years.  The oatcakes are out and the soup is simmering on the stove, therefore I must assume the position.

My yellow card has been rescinded because I have already prepared the tea.  We will not be dancing for a month.  Can the world still rotate ?
At the end of this road is a blue and twinkling sea of your dreams.
