Fireworks from China

From my journal: July 29, 2006

Connie and Steve came over for breakfast: scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, avocado and goat cheese. Dave and Nora arrived about one and we all drove up to Vancouver BC to see the fireworks contest and visit with DJ and Rikki and the kids. Kalen Hammann joined us for dinner. Arvin, Steve, Dave, Nora, Kalen and I all went to see the Chinese entry into the fireworks contest. It was a spectacular show. We took the bus back to DJ and Rikki's to spend the night.
