Ladybird at the Seaside

Ladybirds don't paddle.
Ladybirds don't swim,
but this one went to the seaside,
so I said Hello to him.
He beetled over the lichen
as if he was in shock
and thought my shadow a hungry bird
when he raced across the rock.
Ladybirds don't windsurf.
Ladybirds don't sail,
but this one went to the seaside
and therewith ends my tale.

Many thanks for the lovely kind words on my yesterblip. This evening my daughter and I walked down to Landcombe Cove for sea-therapy - with added ladybird.
