Truly Blippin' Marvelous

By JohnEdward

Tài, Tiàn, Píng, Jì

Big, heaven, tranquility, good luck.  I expect many Chinese characters will appear in answer to this challenge; mine is no exception.  There is a minor error in one of the characters depicted

Many things originated in China - porcelain, moveable type, silk, pasta, the Analects of Confucius, Tao (The Way), Lao Tzu, the divination of I Ching, Shaolin kung-fu, Tai-Chi.  Such were my thoughts when choosing China with a capitol C to answer this week's mono Monday challenge set by JoanneInOz

The Chinese have many superstitions, customs and charms and a wealth of what we in the west would call ghost stories.  The frog with a coin in its mouth is one such custom.  It should be placed facing the main door into a dwelling to ensure prosperity.
