THe Jackdaw & The Fungi

Two images today. The jackdaw was taken this morning. There were two of them and they were checking all the large holes in this old oak tree, looking for one suitable to build a nest in. They must think spring is coming. The fungi, a polypore, was taken this afternoon. It is a very young specimen and obviously thinks autumn is approaching. I hope the jackdaws are right and not the fungi!
