Crepuscular

After the wild northerlies and the hijinks ('boisterous merrymaking') of the weekend the stillness of the high pressure area over the UK with its sombre, muted light and still, silent air was a marked change.

I struggled round the circuit, strangely tired.

I took photos without using the zoom for a change. Although it was lighter later this evening the light just seemed to fade away quietly with no fanfare or brilliant rising moon. Just a faint orangey glow beneath the cloud line on the south-western horizon.

I chose the lighthouse in the end. Locked up for the night, with no visitors milling around. The weathervane pointing to the north for a wind that didn't seem to blow.

A few more here on the blog.
