'Light and Shade'

This little group of cottages always fascinates me....they sit in the the grounds of St. Peter and St.Paul Church in Hellingly..you can actually see a gravestone on the right. In the Summer the little Cottage gardens are pretty! Not much in them at the moment, some tubs of Wallflowers and a few Snowdrops. A few years ago, when I was going to Art College we had a week of local landscape painting and drawing. We had a day sitting in this
graveyard, all of us painting different aspects of the Church and trees. That week was SO memorable...my painting was NOT!
