Crested Pigeon

Spotted this bird fossicking for its dinner. It managed to stay in one spot long enough for a blip.

According to the Birds in the Backyards, these birds are rather common in Australia and there are only two species of its kind with a "stand up" head crest. The other is the smaller kind, Spinifex Pigeon. Interesting fact!
