Victorian Ironwork

Partick Bridge: built 1876-8 for the Trustees of Glasgow and Yoker Turnpike Roads to carry a double line of tramway along Dumbarton Road. The Partick coat of arms is at one end and the Glasgow one at the other. In front is the Partick Bridge sewer aqueduct. I was in the car park beside Kelvin Hall today, just in front of the bridge. I don't think I had ever noticed the aqueduct leading to the fine old Victorian pumping station before.
