Fiona is 40

We've had a family day. We picked Ella up from nursery then went skating, followed by lunch in Pani, well-known in Newcastle for a warm welcome, where Ella had chicken and pasta. She asked if they did pudding so we allowed her an ice cream. Then we got her a Frozen sticker book before getting the metro home. She had a big day getting to grips with the escalators. She was so good and must have been shattered with all the walking to and from stations.

After dropping her off in Gosforth we drove to Whitley Bay to babysit for #2 daughter so that she and her husband could celebrate her being 40 with an 8 course taster menu at Jesmond Dene House. This is them with Thomas, aged 2, and James, 4 months today. Seems weird to think I have a daughter aged 40. When I was 40 she was already a teenager.
