A Paris Jay--5th Blipday

This morning we saw a Eurasian Jay close by on the roofs opposite our apartment in Paris 13e, which--miraculously--stayed long enough for this shot.  We'd seen one a couple of years ago in back, where there are bushes, but this was the first ever this close.  They are difficult to see well at best because they are so active, and I don't recall ever having seen the lines on the forehead so well.

Today is my 5th blip birthday--1825 consecutive entries, more or less, since I joined on 10 February 2010 (NOT COUNTING BACKDATED BLIPS).  It is a real pity that the new site no longer recognizes these blipdays--the first four were real occasions for me, with extra views and congratulatory comments.
