With fronds like these, who needs anenomes?

Apologies for the terrible pun. Titchmarsh said something like it earlier in the BBC coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show and, as my photo tonight is of unfurling ferns in our garden, I couldn't resist using it! The rapid unfurling of the croziers of new fern fronds seems to be another effect in our garden of the rapid rise in temperature this week (not before time!).
