"Retinal tear" the doc called it. Damn inconvenient, or something similar, is what I called it.

This is my temporary home until the end of the week. The Eye Pavillion, Edinburgh. Surgery tomorrow. Great people, in good hands of that I'm sure, already in the good books with tea lady!

I think already I prefer being on the other side of the surgeon's toolkit.

Anyway, fingers crossed for tomorrow......
