Bruges Belfry

Belgium is so small I thought I'd use my Saturday to get out of Brussels and nip over to Bruges.

Like Brussels it was crawling with tourists with chocolatiers and waffle stalls on every corner but it was nice to walk around the old town. I even took a nice boat ride around the canals.

A highlight of the day was the Frietmuseum - a fab little museum documenting the history of the humble potato and the not so French origins of the French fry.
