Abondoned Machine Gun Post

I've blipped this with its pigeon battalion but here its presented for Derelict Thursday.

This site says it is an old machine gun post that was accessed by a tunnel through the chalk.

I like to think of it as a hermit's cell accessible only by the webbing rope for hauling meagre supplies to the aesthete in her or his brine-tossed solitude.
