Stencil Art Project - Christchurch, New Zealand

Christchurch has had a hard time since the earthquake back in February 2011. While the infrastructure and buildings in the CBD have been affected, the city is still well and truly open for business and has a beating soul.

A number of art projects have been given the opportunity to help brighten up the CBD area. This is an iPhone snap of one of them - called "The Stencil Project". This project encourages year 8-13 kids into art by getting them to create a stencil of their face, which is then used to brighten up the building site screens opposite the Restart Mall in Central Christchurch.

A great project, and one that deserves recognition on many fronts. Website details below.
