Friday 13th -- Black Cats Day

Lucky Day if you have a black cat or more. The blackest cat in our household is Uncle Buddy Budd (UBB) lifting his leg here for a bit of a scratch. And in the background sleeping are the backends of PD Budd and at the far corner, Gracie T-t.
I was trying to get a good but not disgusting blip of Uncle Buddy's bare belly. That is the white patch you see. The flash picked up his newly changed white whiskers. They give him an elder gentlemanly look, I think
Under all that black fur his skin is cold white. UBB went to the Vet this week-- a big deal since he hates the cat carrier. Then many Temptation treats were required to get him inside.  He has lost fur on his lower belly, inner thighs, and wherever it is very soft. His back  and front paws and face are fine. He is about 14 so that could be a reason. But just in case,  I felt we all had to suffer a trip to meet the new Vet who bought the practice from our beloved Vet.
She turned out to be very professional, well-trained, and painfree.

[Although a cat wrote to UBB yesterday saying that he should have charged her for getting to view his soft underparts....It's a different story. He belongs to Cat Channel where only cat friends blog to one another. Like blipping for cats with fewer photos and a lot more silliness.]

Anyway, the Vet took a little blood sample to test for suspicious kidney, and other diseases. She called that evening to say all his tests were good and normal... he's a good old boy. BUT, after spending $113 what is the cause of the fur loss?
Unknown.
It is nice to know he is still healthy and his rabies shot is good until October.
A friend told me that a mixture of green tea, vinegar and water  might work on the bald area. .Could that be the new cure for baldness? Formula available upon request.
I would not want to change UBB's name from Uncle Buddy to Uncle Baldy, as another cheeky cat suggested.
Good Luck today.
