The canal

There seems to be a canal that crosses the city, meant for flood and excess rain, it seems to also be used regularly as a convenient garbage spot. I have also seen livestock and people picking through it. The canal goes right past the back of the university and also seems to separate the uni from another poorer neighberhood. The contrast of apparent richness right next to extreme poverty does not cease to surprise me.
