The Fairytale Castle

Once upon a time there was a 900 year old castle in a beautiful land of lush gardens, winding woodlands and vast parkland with views to other lands.

One day, almost a year ago, a princess called Samantha was asked by the owners of the Castle to go and work for them to write enchanting stories to send to the newspapers.

Samantha met some strange yet wonderful characters on her year long adventure from a 'good witch' in a purple hat, who was not scary at all, to the 'Castle jester' that played tricks on many of the workers in the offices to the 'Wild man' that took care of the mystical black swans on the moat.

Samantha's first big story came in spring time when the 'flower lady' and 'Castle gnomes' magically transformed a punt into a floating English cottage garden. Summertime brought jousting knights, hundreds of swimmers in the moat one weekend and secret tours through the Castle's hidden passages and forgotten rooms each with its own little tale.

As the autumn leaves began to fall theatrical flair and creativity took over the Castle for a festival of flowers. Fireworks, music and celebration followed before the festive season saw the arrival of a gigantic gingerbread castle and 25 christmas trees decorated with biscuits.

As the old year ended and the new one began visitors to this beautiful castle started to fade as the winter wind, rain and snow kept them snuggly tucked up at home.

Princess Samantha explored the Castle grounds talking to the Black Swans, ducks and geese as she watched in wonder how beautiful they all were on those peaceful winter days.

All too soon the magical spell was broken and the Princess had to leave her beloved Castle behind for a new adventure. On her very last day all her friends wished her well with thoughtful cards, flowers and gifts.

And so Princess Samantha left the Castle with the warmth of her happy memories and friendships she would treasure forevermore.

And everyone lived happily ever after...
