Why did I come in here?

By Bootneck

Evening out....

Tonight Mrs Booty is taking this ancient old lag to the Minack theatre to watch The Port Isaac's Fishermen's Friends! I may come away slightly lubricated with enthusiasm as I really enjoy their music. Have a look at the link below if you have never heard of them. If you are headed this way for your hols then try Port Isaac on a Friday evening, the FF sing on the Platt or Hard (Slipway) to anybody who comes along - for free! (8 pm)

I thought birds avoided slugs as food for chicks as they would get stuck in tiny gullets - wrong. I have watched male and females grab a small slug, bash it around, roll it in dust, poke it and then bash it some more before rinsing it in the bird bath and taking it off to the nest. That is what is in the beak of this mum.

Final piece of news, the younger grand sprog, "Gnasher," has grown another tooth, can now haul himself upright and is happy. 11 months old next week, amazing progress. He can also blow rasberries, which is his greatest achievement so far, as he can now communicate with Grandpa. :-)
