Meteorites

I went to the reopening of the Whitworth Art Gallery this evening, along with probably thousands of other people. So it was difficult to see the exhibitions, that will have to wait for another time. The end of the celebrations were marked with fireworks in the park next door  billed as a meteorite shower, designed by artist Cornelia Parker with Nobel Prize winner from Manchester Konstantin Novoselov. I was going to try and explain why this was an artwork including graphene, drawings by William Blake and Turner and meteorites from Arizona - read this article instead!
