The people of Savang village, Laos

We went to village Savang today and saw how the Norwegian People's Aid Laos works in the field.  Here is the chief that started the meeting with informing the people that NPA will make survey in the fields where there are cluster bombs.

NPA will use time in the village to make a non-technical survey first, that means talking to all the people, included the children before they make the technical survey.

Three children in this meeting had seen cluster bombs. A little boy picked it up and threw it away. Lucky he did not get harmed.  He didn't understand what it was and wanted to play with it.

Hopefully he will see his village free for cluster bombs with the help of NPA.
