Leaning tower of hyacinths

These are really over now, after four weeks, but the colour is still deep and there is one little new flower still pink! So they have stayed in, rather than being thrust outside into the cold until planted out for next year!
There were too many other things to be done this morning to allow time for the village Cafe - my husband collected the eggs - and then we had to go up the A303 to Wincanton. The rain was heavy, the traffic was busy, spray on the road - and stopping for petrol was a nightmare (for me), with gigantic lorries pulling in alongside, and not moving for anyone!
So home for a late lunch of cheese twist and tomato soup, which was very restorative!
