The Pillars

Sign above the Pillars Bar in Dundee city centre. Named after the City Town House that once stood near to this pubs location. built between 1732 & 1734, it had a 40 m steeple and had a jail on the first floor and had arcades with shops on ground floor which is why it gained the name 'The Pillars' by the locals.
