Fascinating Fascinator

In the Clothing Store and Dress Up shop at Willowbank, Wakefield. The historical societies from Golden Bay to Nelson, Tapawera and Motueka and Waimea Plains met at this collection of old buildings that a Swiss woman has made into a venue for groups to meet at. The buildings are all old ones she has had shifted there. From a Gospel Hall to an outdoor prison, a general store to a bakery she has saved these buildings from being pulled down or put to the match.
The Clothing store was originally the study of the Rev John Hiddlestone a chaplain who stayed behind on Crete in May 1941 with the seriously wounded soldiers. They all became Prisoners of War.
The study is now jam packed with clothes of the 1940's and all the bits that go with it. This little hat caught my eye as being something that could be worn today to the races or similar.
