Pewter Jug

Not a nice day weatherwise - very dull and dark. Had the electric light on all day. Did manage a walk round the garden and brought this jug in for a clean up. It has been on my patio table for years - so needed a clean up.  I bought it at a local junk place years ago for the patio. Now I've cleaned it up I thought it deserved a blip. Not sure what it is made of - probably pewter - but it must have been plated with silver once upon a time. There are no markings at the bottom to provide clues.
