Grade 2 Listed Almshouses.

These are the Grade 2 listed Almshouses in Orchard St. Cambridge. A range of 13 cottages circa 1825. One story with attics, gault brick, with continuous mansard tile roof. Each with central doorway with painted plaster pilasters and shaped metal hood windows either side with glazing bars. I have passed by Orchard St many times, but today, because of blipfoto, I walked through it for the first time and felt the atmosphere of it's history.
