Point Loma lighthouse

The original Point Loma Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the Point Loma peninsula at the mouth of San Diego Bay in San Diego, California. It is situated in the Cabrillo National Monument. Wikipedia

Construction started: 1854
Opened: 1855
Height: 46' (14 m)
Material: Brick
Architectural style: Cape Cod style

Went there on Feb. 13th,  It has changed a lot since I was last there.   Great view of San Diego, North Island & city of Coronado.  Replacement light house is now down by the Ocean.  Interesting note was while we were in the old light house assistants home my cell phone received a test message saying I was in Mexico & would be charged $20.+ dollars for messages.
