bridge.  It was inevitable that the bridge of a stringed musical instrument would come to mind. The saddle and bridge of a guitar was too easy although the saddle of the twelve string is quite pretty.  I thought of getting out the fiddle to picture its bridge;  but I chose one of the little chromatic bridges on the dulcimer because it is like a real arched bridge. Not many beautiful architectural gems of river, rail or road bridges close by and no aqueducts. 

       This is my answer to this week's monoMonday bridge challenge set by JoanneInOz.

       Another day for the apostrophe police to have a feast day with misplaced apostrophes as it is Presidents' Day here in the US. a conflation of Washington's and Lincoln's birthday celebrations but now loosely assumed to celebrate all US presidents.
