the landlord came over this morning to take photos of an incident so unbelievable I still can't believe it could happen.

there I was, Saturday morning, doing the washing up in the kitchen, when I looked out of the window to see two men standing in the back garden. The back garden where there is no rear access and their means of entry had been to go through the neighbours garden, slide up the fence panel into ours and there they were, starting to set up a scaffold.

the scaffold is to access the new houses at the back of the garden. Last time works were done at the bottom of the garden, falling debris from the dismantling of a factory chimney caused holes in our shed roof, destroyed next door's shed roof, and caused several phone calls to the HSE.

According to the two scaffolders, they had been told by the owner of the land, who lives a couple of doors down, that they had permission. They do not. Not from the residents of the house nor the owner of the house. It beggars belief that someone could think it okay to allow people to march into someone else's garden without even discussing it with them!! At no time during the building works have we been given contact details of the contractor, let known what is happening, despite the building of houses three inches from our garden wall.
