High Sweden copse

We had a busy 'togging' day today.  In the morning we went to Cathedral Cave and Slaters Bridge.  I am glad to report that Mike Gravett's goldfish still seems to be thriving in the pool at Cathedral Cave.

This afternoon, after meeting Ali for lunch in Ambleside,  we walked up the ridge that forms the first part of the Fairfield Horseshoe.  We have done the horseshoe previously and the views back towards Ambleside and Lake Windermere are gorgeous.  I particularly like the dry stone wall.

We didn't have time to do the best bit of wall which is a little higher up but this view was lovely in the late afternoon light.

Definitely looks better large with black borders
