Moss forest

I love seeing all the fresh green moss at this time of the year, especially in areas where we cut scrub last year and the moss climbs up the new ash saplings.There's a whole ecosystem in that moss layer, including the fresh shoots of some of our rare orchids and over-wintering pupae of some very special insects.
