Frozen Flight

It was numbingly cold out at the salt marsh this afternoon but that doesn't stop the birds from going about their business. I saw this great egret looking purposeful as it flew across the reeds.
I also realized that as cold as it was, they have to be out there, I do not. Yet there I am anyway.
