New Year's Delicacies

Going grocery shopping today was like trying to shop the day before Thanksgiving.  Tomorrow is Chinese New Year's Eve, so everyone was socking up on food for New Year cooking with the family.  I'm not stocking up for a big celebration, but I wanted to make sure I have enough to get me through the few days when most stores are closed. 

This dried meat didn't make it into my shopping bag, but lots of people seemed to to think it would make a good New Year's snack.
