Was It Really So Long Ago

The Vale

Not much over a mile from the house, the sun was up and I was on the way to work. It was a glorious day of sunshine and relative warmth that looked ideal for a long cycle ride. As this was not to be, I took a snap and moved on.

The church tower in the distance is that of St Mary's in Dedham, heart of Constable country. The Stour Vale, takes in Flatford a mile or so downstream from Dedham, the scene of the Haywain, all of which is a favoured destination for my cycle riding.

Tomorrow, there will be time for cycling. Today, I must dash home to make pancakes with the children, having failed miserably to get anywhere near home before bed time.
