Dawn at Lake Matheson, NZ

Getting up a couple of hours before sunrise really pays off when you witness beautiful skies like this one at Lake Matheson in New Zealand. The sky turned a gorgeous pinky-orange, before the sun lit up the peaks of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman beyond. The completely still water of the lake perfectly reflected the mountain ranges onto the mirror-like surface. I used a long exposure to blur the mist on the water, adding more depth to the image.
