Garston is need of a bit of investment. There was an idea that it's redevelopment would be led by the arts. As a part of the City's Capital of Culture year 2008 a disused school was converted into an arts centre republic with its own flag, passport and president. Sadly, the rather fine building is now closed again, back in wraps and surrounded in scaffolding with emergency repairs being carried out to its exterior. Garston is still in need of a bit of investment.
