Turning Japanese

Should be blipping derelict stuff to keep my dad happy today, and I did have a blip ready but then I saw the sun setting and thought it was too good not to blip...sorry dad.

In my English lessons today I took great joy in explaining the British phenomena of Shrove Tuesday, (I think I have confirmed the madness of Englishmen in my students' eyes*) and the meaning of the word I learnt last night - hodophobia**.


* people run up the street in most towns, tossing pancakes? Yep, we sure do...but hey, at least we don't pull the heads off of geese from the back of a horse...
** fear of travel - didn't win quiz night, came a respectable 3rd, though, beating Mr K's pathetic 11/25!
